¡Todavía hay oportunidad!

“Las fisgonas”, dirigida por Patricia Casiano se presenta en español, así que los actores deben poder hablar el español.  Los ensayos se harán durante mayo, junio y julio, la obra se presentará los fines de semana durante el mes de agosto.

Se necesitan más jóvenes entre 10 y 20 años de edad; 3 muchachas y 3 muchachos.

TEATRO DE LAS AMÉRICAS’ NEXT PLAY

 

There is still time to join in!

The play “Las Fisgonas (The Scandalmongers)”, directed by Patricia Casiano will be presented in Spanish, so the actors need to be able to speak Spanish.  Rehearsals will be in May, June, and July. The play will be presented during the weekends of August.

We need some more youth between 10 and 20 years old; 3 girls and 3 boys.

WHERE: 816 Wagon Wheel, near the “Ice Skating Rink”

NOTICIA DE CASTING PARA “EN BOCA DE TODOS, BOCANEGRA” DEL TEATRO DE LAS AMÉRICAS

“En boca de todos, Bocanegra”, dirigida por Oscar Andrés Franco se presenta en español.  Los ensayos se harán durante julio, agosto, y septiembre.  La obra se presentará del 17 de septiembre al 17 de octubre, 2010.

Se necesitan hombres y mujeres de los 16 a los 45  años de edad.

The play “En boca de todos, Bocanegra/on Everyone’s Lips, Bocanegra”, directed by  Oscar Andrés Franco will be presented in Spanish. CONCURSO DE ARTE- DOS

 

Teatro de las Américas presenta la obra  “En Boca de Todos, Bocanegra” en septiembre y octubre.  Los invitamos a artistas crear arte que sirva como el logo de la obra.  Se tiene que poder reproducir el arte en forma digital para incluírlo en los rótulos de la promoción.  Hay premio de $200 para el ganador. El arte lo juzgará miembros del comité de publicidad del Teatro.  La fecha tope es el 25 de julio 2010.

¿A mí, que con todo esto del Bicentenario?    “En Boca de Todos, Bocanegra” es la historia detrás del mito.  Con la frase de "Mexicanos al grito de guerra"  Francisco Gonzales Bocanegra escribe el himno nacional, sin imaginarse que al paso del tiempo seguiría en boca de todos.  La historia nos refleja de una manera muy cómica, la inseguridad, miedo e incertidumbre que puede nacer en cualquier ser humano, al tratar de tener un cambio grande y positivo en su propia vida.  Desde un héroe nacional, hasta un adolescente de hoy en día como Fermín.  Pues los dos, Francisco y Fermín se encuentran con un reto de escribir, sea el himno nacional o una oración celebrando a Bocanegra, los dos queriendo vencer y al mismo tiempo conquistar a una muchacha querida.

 

 

 ART CONTEST - TWO

 

Teatro de las Américas is presenting the play ““En Boca de Todos, Bocanegra/ On Everybody’s Lips, Bocanegra”” in September.  We invite artists to submit artwork that will serve as the logo of the play.  It must be possible to reproduce the art in digital form for its inclusion in posters.  There is a $200 prize for the winning entry. The art will be judged by the members of Teatro’s publicity committee.  Entries are due on July 25.

Here is a summary of the play:

 

For me, all this about the Bicentenary?   “En Boca de Todos, Bocanegra/ On Everybody’s Lips, Bocanegra”  is the story behind the myth.  With the phrase "Mexicanos al grito de guerra/Mexicans to the call of war," Francisco Gonzales Bocanegra writes the Mexican National Anthem, never imagining that with the passage of time it will be on everybody’s lips.  The play shows the insecurity, fear and uncertainty that anyone can have when trying to make a big and important change in his own life.  From a national hero to a teen of today like Fermín.  Both Francisco and Fermín find themselves with a writing challenge, whether the national anthem contest or a speech contest about the national anthem’s writer Bocanegra.  Both want to win the contest and the favor of a girl.
