ABOUT: Mother-in-law and grandmother, Doña Pancha, yearns to return to her beloved México City where as a child she dreamed of being close to her idol Pedro Infante. She lives with her daughter Chayo, son-in-law Joel, and granddaughter Andrea whose boyfriend has gone missing. Doña Pancha’s family keep a close eye on her to prevent her from doing something crazy, according to them, like returning to her beloved México. Neighbor Melanie adds spice to the comedy as she flirts with Joel, Doña Pancha’s son-in-law. The music swells when Pedro Infante pays Doña Pancha a visit and addresses her yearning while helping her endure the vicissitudes of the American Dream. In Spanish with English supertitles.
Local actors Patricia Casiano as Doña Pancha, Juan González as Pedro Infante, Adah Chávez as Chayo, Alfredo Quezada as Joel, Sami Anguiano as Andrea y Katherine Miller as Melanie bring this play to life.
