WRENCH, created in 1994 by James Donlon, Mathew Tavianini, and Joseph Velasco, received the following:

“The mood careens from hilarious satire to compassionate slice-of-life to surreal edginess in staging that proves an improbable mix of The Three Stooges, Sam Shepard, and David Lynch.” – The Los Angeles Times

WRENCH takes huge experimental leaps and manages to land with both feet planted firmly on the ground…….defies categorization……One of the most original and evocative theatrical events of the year.”
-The Santa Barbara Independent

WRENCH earned a 1995 Indy Award honoring the best in Santa Barbara theater & dance
